Owner and Head Chef - James Thorogood
James has worked all over the world from london, thailand, perth and queensland as a chef and brings a unique asian and home style mix to his food and cooking, cooking has always been a passion to james.
James moved to sunshine coast and saw an opportunity for a floating restaurant purchasing seafood cruises in 2006 and turning the restaurant around, improving the vessel vastly and bringing functions and weddings to the mix, making seafood cruise mooloolaba what it is today, a multi award winning restaurant and function centre.
Functions and Weddings Coordinator - Tanya Thorogood
Tanya is originally from London, England and met James when he was working in the uk, the couple moved to the sunshine coast for a better life and to start a family, they found it in seafood cruises, the ultimate lifestyle business. Since starting seafood cruises with james, tanya has developed her skills in function and wedding coordination.
Tanya is bubbly and enthusiastic in decoration and planning and loves to help people, going above and beyond her role to assist her clients to make their function and day the best it can be. Tanya has Won an award from ABIA for Best Boat Reception in Queensland, well done Tanya.
Head Waitress - 
Ella Holzl
Ella has recently come to work for Seafood Cruises and has a hospitality background, Ella is a very charismatic young lady and always brings a smile and her bubbly personality to work with her, we all welcome Ella as part of our team.
Restaurant Manager - Kathy Jones
Kathy has only been with seafood cruises about 6 months but has proved to be a valuable member of the staff, she is a lovely, energetic lady with a kind soft nature, kathy takes pride in her work and loves the people on board. Kathy lives on a boat at the marina so if you want to talk boats and sailing then kathy is the lady to talk to.
Marine Engineer - Ben Wilkins
Benny has been working for seafood cruises for 4 years now and is our engineer, ben is the only person on the sunshine coast we trust to fix and service our vessel, ben has done all maintenance on our vessel from engine services right through to installing our new toilet system (his favourite job) and maintaining any issues we face. Ben is the most qualified and reliable marine engineer on the coast and it is always a pleasure to have him onboard.
Head Skipper Master Class 4 - Brett Cross 
Brett has been with seafood cruises for over 1 year now and has proved he is one of the best if not the best skippers around, no matter what the conditions brett will bring the vessel in and out safely. Brett works for us on a rotational roster, 1 month on 1 month off as he drives a research vessel on the north west shelf off broome as well. Brett is a highly valued member of the staff and missed by all when he is away. Brett is a great guy to talk to about all aspects of marine life.
Skipper Master Class 5 - Steven Cluff
Steve has only been driving for Seafood Cruises for about 6 months and comes from an MSQ (Marine Safety Queensland) background so if steve is driving you can rest assured everything is in place, been checked three times and is working properly. We nicknamed him Mr Pedantic but its a trait we love as we all know that the vessel is safe to embark and everything is how it should be. Steve is a lovely guy and great to talk to and is a very highly skilled skipper. A valued member of the team.
Onboard MC - John Virgona
John is our MC for our trivia nights and occasionally weddings onboard, john is a valued asset to seafood cruises and has his own business on the sunshine coast Mooveit DJ'sand is a great asset to our new trivia nights making them fun filled and exciting. We welcome john onboard and are expecting big things from our trivia nights this year.
